UFO Spotted Off Norfolk Coast By RAF Pilots During Mission Eastern Daily Press

Current world sightings, headed by a February North Sea report from the pilots of two planes during a refueling mission. Ben Fieldhouse's details are sparse, but a 100-150-foot distance estimate is certainly eye-popping. Yet we hear that UK Defence Chiefs Reject Calls for Scots UFO Sightings Probe as 'No Military Threat'. The Daily Record's Deputy Chief Reporter Sally Hinds says Scottish researcher Malcolm Robinson disagrees and hopes to take his case to the latest Prime Minister. Or maybe it's just an "air safety" incident? A British former colony is also in the news as a Series of UFO Sightings Has Tasmanian Mayor Seeking Answers. The Australian "orbs" puzzle doesn't seem to be drones, and it's causing consternation at least among the locals. That's from Tim Binnall, who also offers a "New World" example with Vanishing UFO Astonishes Witnesses in Colombia. This one seems less disturbing and most likely less serious. But the La Opinion Austral (Rio Gallegos, Argentina) newsroom gives us Argentina: Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Reported in Río Gallegos (July 2026). This Inexplicata article is more puzzling.
Over Our Heads, Again Life in Jonestown

Humans have a habit of thinking they're the smartest ones in the room. Billy Cox suggests we should get our hubris under control and polish up our own smarts before we attempt contact with any non-human entity. In spite of the world being three quarters ocean, we still only know the most rudimentary ways to communicate with its residents. For example, we know cetaceans are very smart, but we still can't decipher their language. What we think is an invitation to play could be a practical joke. And let's not forget that interactions with humans on a regular basis seldom ends well for non-humans. It may be that human intelligence is the easiest to document on the planet, but being the most obvious is not the same as being the greatest.

Kristen French asks the first of several UFO-related questions, and it's a good one. French uses Spielberg's Disclosure Day, the June 25th Disclosure Forum, and academic papers and polling from 1957 to the present to ponder this matter. Popular Mechanics editors banded together to ask Does Avi Loeb Know Something the Rest of Us Don't? It turns out that this August 6th trio discussion references a June 30th David Howard article Does Avi Loeb—Head of the White House's New UFO Council—Know Something the Rest of Us Don't? So the conversation is heavily on Loeb's 'Oumuamua-ET NHI-engineered possibility—but Howard's piece on Loeb's background is worth the diversion given his new UAP Science Advisory Council charge. Michael Ryan and Christine Scott make it even more personal with What Makes A Good UFO Witness? The UFO Talker team tackles the subject well. Grant Cameron gets a nod here, and so we'll turn to Grant and Are Extraterrestrials Leaving Marks on Us—and the Earth? CE-2s of all sorts, the veteran Canadian researcher believes and may publish upon, are ET NHIs' ways of proving they're actually here.
Cornell Shuts Down Claims of ‘60% Neanderthal’ NY Bigfoot, Setting Off Fuming Sasquatch Hunter New York Post

Cornell University has found itself in a dispute with Charles Stuart, aka Snake the Bigfoot Hunter. "Snake" asserts the university performed tests on "Dack," his 300-pound Bigfoot corpse, and determined its DNA makeup was 60% Neanderthal. Cornell states it did not, and said no such thing, leaving "Snake" to declare it a coverup. But Bigfoot sightings continue...Colorado Motorist Reports Sasquatch Sighting on July 28 while driving on Highway 149 near Lake City. Driving carefully and scanning the forested sides of the road to avoid any wildlife that might dash out in front of her vehicle, she noticed a Bigfoot emerge from the trees. It proceeded to "glide" up the hill on the side of the road, leaving the driver in shock and at a loss for words. She was, however, absolutely certain about what she saw.
A Cowhand Spotted Mysterious Glowing Orbs Nearly 150 Years Ago. Scientists May Have Found the Source. Popular Mechanics

Still-noteworthy older UFO reports include Robert Reed Ellison's legendary sighting of strange lights in western Texas. We're unconvinced that particular puzzler has been explained, but Darren Orf possibly has the modern answer for the famous "Marfa Lights." Orf notes they're still "one of the weirdest tourist attractions in Texas," and recently a geothermal energy source, probably unrelated, "could bring real change" to the tiny town—also known as an "arts hub." David Freeman analyzes "one of the most striking early military assessments of unidentified objects ever put on paper" in 1953 Military UFO Analysis Found Speeds Above 2,400 MPH. Freeman covers two well-known films—the August 15, 1950, by Nick Mariana and the July 2, 1952, by Delbert Newhouse—that were scrutinized by both 1953 Robertson and late 1960s Condon groups. Mariana's minor league baseball team was renamed the Great Falls Voyagers in 2008 to honor his incident. The Man Who Phoned in Canada's Most Famous UFO Sighting Became the Face of the Mystery is a human-interest story regarding the October 4, 1967, event at Shag Harbour, Nova Scotia. Richard Woodbury remembers the recently-deceased Laurie Wickens' key sighting, and Wickens' involvement in perpetuating its memory. Charles Lear wants corroboration on A 1979 Italian UFO Case in an Irish Newspaper. We worry when a good Irish tale isn't validated, so see if you can help out Charles. And back to Canada for Susan Demeter's Black Diamond UFO Haunts Lake Ontario. A very personal story of the impact a UFO experience can have.
